TRANSPORTATION SYSTEMS AND LOGISTICS SIMULATION

Digital transportation models are based on the discrete representation of continuous space, in which the study area is divided into demand-generating zones, and infrastructure and systems are represented through a network of links connecting these zones. Discrete event simulation models, on the other hand, are used in the analysis of supply chains and logistics processes, allowing for the sizing and optimization of their respective resources. We have experience using a variety of software tools for the modeling and simulation of transportation and logistics systems in rural, urban, and industrial contexts.
