ROAD CAPACITY AND SAFETY STUDIES

Road Capacity and safety studies aim to assess the adequacy of road infrastructure to the traffic demand, in order to ensure operational quality of service for different system users. Analyzed facility types include highways, freeways, and urban roads, as well as interchanges and intersections, whether signalized or unsignalized, promoting equity to all modes of transportation, including pedestrians, cyclists, transit, and freight. We conduct operations-level studies for the scenario situation and planning and design-level analyses for future scenarios, considering traffic growth, events, road works, and/or changes in road infrastructure, to determine investment or operational changes needs.
