The subsequent phases of roadway design (functional, basic through executive design) provide the necessary elements to describe and guide the execution of road works, specific technical details, such as precise measurements, materials specifications, cross-sections, drainage systems, road markings, signage, and other construction-related aspects. The executive roadway design serves as a guide for contractors and construction teams to implement the project accurately according to the established specifications and standards,  accommodating different modes of transportation in urban or rural environments.
