Saulo Horta Barbosa

Saulo holds a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from the School of Engineering at the Federal University of Minas Gerais and a M.Sc. in Transportation Engineering from the same institution. He is a managing partner at Infraplan Consultoria and has been working in the field of traffic and transportation engineering consultancy since 2008.

He began his career at the consulting firm Tectran, where he started as an intern. He served as a transportation analyst, project coordinator (approximately one year in each role), and technical department manager (for three years). In 2015, when Tectran was acquired by the French multinational company Systra, he took on the position of sales manager. By 2017, after the transition period, he assumed the role of commercial director. Following the merger with the engineering projects company Vetec in early 2018, he became the business development manager for Systra in Brazil, a position he held until the end of 2019. Since then, he has been leading projects across the country as the head of Infraplan Consultoria.

Saulo has significant expertise in traffic and transportation studies, with a focus on regional planning and technical-economic feasibility analysis of new infrastructure projects. With over 10 years of experience, he has been involved in more than 250 projects encompassing various modes of transportation, including international experiences in Latin America, Asia, and the Middle East.
