Civil Engineer from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG), with an Executive MBA from IESE Business School and a Business Management specialization from Fundação Getúlio Vargas (FGV), Marcus Vinicius Ferreira has over a decade of experience in the transportation infrastructure sector and a solid track record in the development and management of large-scale logistics projects.
He began his career as an intern at Tectran, a consulting firm specialized in transportation engineering, and throughout his professional journey, he has held strategic positions in prominent companies in the sector. He led commercial teams at América Latina Logística (ALL), the largest railway operator in Brazil, responsible for over 20,000 km of railway concessions in Brazil and Argentina. He also played a key role as head of Market Intelligence and Strategic Planning at Santos Brasil, the country’s largest container port operator. At Hidrovias do Brasil, South America’s leading waterway logistics operator, he led the New Business and Pricing divisions, playing a vital role in implementing innovative solutions and integrating multimodal systems.
Throughout his career, Marcus has led M&A initiatives and was responsible for the development and implementation of projects in the railway, port, cabotage, and inland waterways sectors. His expertise includes structuring large-scale logistics ventures, strategic analysis, and business feasibility studies. He is recognized for his ability to manage complex operations and for consolidating strategic partnerships that contribute to the development and success of infrastructure projects in Brazil and Latin America.
